In accordance with the fiscal framework agreed by the Welsh and UK Governments, we are formally commissioned by the Welsh Government to produce independent forecasts for devolved Welsh taxes alongside its Draft Budgets.
On 14 October we published an update to the Welsh taxes outlook with new forecasts for land transaction tax and landfill disposals tax receipts to supports its Draft Budget for 26-27.
On 20 January, we published our main Welsh taxes outlook publication alongside the Welsh Government’s Final Budget for 2026-27. This set out our forecast for each of the devolved Welsh taxes: Welsh rates of income tax, land transaction tax and landfill disposal tax, as well as the latest projection for the net tax position.
