The Treasury Committee has today published its report concluding its inquiry into The OBR: 15 years on.
Responding to the report, Jonathan Haskel, Chair of the OBR’s Budget Responsibility Committee, said:
“We welcome this report and thank Dame Meg Hillier and the Treasury Committee for their work. We appreciate the Treasury Committee’s support for the OBR’s independence. We are always open to suggestions on how we might improve and will carefully consider this report’s conclusions. As ever, we look forward to continuing engagement with the Committee and Parliament.”
